New Year's Eve consisted of an impromptu gathering of four adults, six children, a party pack of party favors, appetizers and a bunch of fireworks.
The Dads lighting fireworks outside while the kids watched warmly from inside.
The boys were having way too much fun. Some of my favorite highlights were when Ryan would showcase the fireworks, when they threw a firework and it hit the side of the garage and when Ryan pretended to light one is his mouth which made my kids run away screaming "Dad! Don't do it!" It was pretty stressful for this Mom but one of our friend's daughters leaned over to Kate and said your family is funny. I'm glad our craziness can provide comic relief.
Ringing in the mock New Year.
The girls got into some play make up. This is after washing it off, they were a little heavy handed in the make up department.
We rang in the New Year with just enough chaos, an appropriate way to welcome 2013 because I'm sure the chaos for this year has only begun.
