Happy Day!

We celebrated Sam's Birthday on Saturday. He woke up to happy day balloons. (To make a long story short, he calls happy faces, happy days.) I only had white balloons so we drew faces on all of the balloons to make them more festive. It actually worked out well. Sam was so happy to have so many happy days, he would show each face to Ryan. I forget that kids can be so easy to please, we could have ended the celebration right there.

In the last month our camera has been dropped twice and now it only takes pictures when it wants to as a way to get me back for the mistreatment. So, sorry for the picture quality.

Heaven.

We kept the party going by driving up to Volo, Illinois to see the Volo Car Museum. We thought Sam would love all of the cars. He did, but I think his parents liked it even more.

Munsters coffin car.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Driving Herbie. Maybe Kate should drive.

Scooby Doo.

An homage to my youth. My sister and I would always watch this show, wish she was in the picture with me.

Kind of not knowing whats going on but going along with it.

Dukes of Hazard.

Ghostbusters.

There were cars from movies/tv and a huge assortment of older cars that were pretty cool.

Batmobile.

The bike from Pee Wee Herman. And I thought it was at the Alamo. (I'm sorry.)

The family.

The reward for making it through the museum, ice cream and playing at the play area.

One happy birthday boy.

This was a super fast slide. Kate was no fool, she knew how to brace herself after watching two wipeouts from other kids. One being her brother.

We finished the day with some cake.

Happy Birthday Sam!
