Brookfield Zoo

We got Zoo memberships as a gift in the fall right before it started getting colder so we didn't really utilize them until it started getting warmer again. The Zoo is a cool place to just walk around and check out the animals and get our animals outdoors. It started getting warmer a few days here and there so we went a couple times. Here are some pics.

These two loved the turtles. When we came up to the glass, this one walked right up to Sam. Sam was loving it.

Sam found a kindred spirit.

Some cool parrots.

Millie trying to make some turtle friends.

Jellyfish.
Can you tell that I would make Sam point to the animals? He just goes along with it.

Someone was a little heartbroken that we went to the zoo without her while she was in school, so we went back another day.

Loving the fish.

The peacocks were out and about, so we had to get a peacock selfie.

I love some of the old buildings at this Zoo and I absolutely love the yellow gates. I think I comment on them every time, but I mean, really, they are awesome.

There is a children's area where you can paint your own face and the kids love it. Kate always ends up being a cat and Sam is usually some kind of monster. It works.

One thing I love about here is that places like this are fairly cheap when compared to other Zoos in other parts of the country, there is even a free Zoo downtown that is just as, if not more so, awesome as this one. I like that they make certain places accessible to everyone. It's one thing I miss when I'm gone.
