What a difference a week makes.

This winter has been a no snow winter, which is weird for Chicago. What makes it weirder is that last week we had temperatures in the 50's and 60's. On Monday, I picked up Kate from school and the sun was out so I let them ride their bikes and play in the backyard when we got home. It's amazing, because if I was in California and it was 50 degrees, we would be inside trying to keep warm. It's amazing what you appreciate more when you live in the artic.

Anyway, a week later and we finally have snow. It's crazy that in a weeks time it can go from feeling like spring is around the corner to being winter again. I have never looked at the weather report so much in all my life.

And I will say that on this particular day, I shoveled the driveway and it was actually kind of fun. It was about 9:30 in the morning and was so quiet. It was kind of peaceful. That's my hippie moment for you.

I completely understand how 50 could be comfortable, lol.
