Harvest Dance

Last weekend our church had a Harvest Dance for the adults. The invite said that it was semi-formal and that you could even bring out your old prom dress. That put the idea in my head to go check out our local Saver's and see what they had to offer in the semi-formal department. We found this pantsuit number and later Ryan's jacket and decided we'd go as a late 80's, early 90's couple. I watched a tutorial on youtube on how to back comb my hair and I was set.

We had so much fun dancing and Ryan really did not hold out on the dance moves. It actually reminded me of our high school dance days. We do not do stuff like that anymore so it was really awesome to have a night like that. Here are some pictures and for all the ladies that did their hair like that in the 90's I admire you, it takes a lot of work and a whole lot of Aquanet. I am not the type of person to fuss over my hair all night and I kept worrying that my hair was losing it's volume and needed more hairspray. The perils of big hair.

The boys.

The girls.

Ryan and some of his buddies.

The YSA (young single adults) provided babysitting, which was really cool. The children were supposed to wear their pajamas and have a pajama party.

These are some of the kids that were there and one of their old nursery leaders.

It was a great night and it's times like these that I'm glad I have such an awesome best friend and husband.
