Da Beach

We went to the beach this past weekend, once with just our family and once with our friends and their kids. It made us feel not so homesick or made us feel homesick, not sure which one. Anyway, I am still amazed that Indiana has beaches like these. It makes me want to explore all of the beaches around Lake Michigan.

The lake with the Chicago skyline in the distance. It's a way different view than Catalina Island but it's pretty cool to see as you are sitting on the beach.

The water was cold, but Kate was determined to go out. She is a Stephens.

This boy on the other hand, likes the water but it's gotta be on his time.

 On Monday, we went to another part of the lake in Indiana.

It was a little more busy than Saturday but still cool.

All of the kiddos just beachin' it up.

Sam of course got knocked down by a wave and was not having any of that.

After that, he stayed on more stable ground. I think he liked the suction feeling on his feet.

Fun times. There is something about loading up the kids and just spending a day at the beach. If Ryan is not working like crazy this summer, we'll have to do this more often.
