Ryan had the idea to drive up to Wisconsin and check out the Jelly Belly factory for his birthday. It ended up being a little day trip. We decided that since we were so close to Milwaukee that we would go up and see what's up there. Ryan found out that there was a Harley-Davidson museum there and he was sold.
On the tour of the factory.
They had a sample bar where you could test all of their flavors. Ryan did (for some reason) try the vomit flavor and did almost vomit. The lady quickly gave him a toothpaste jelly bean to help him out.
The Harley-Davidson Museum
Ryan listening to all of the different motorcycle engines through the years.
A very cool display of gas tanks.
I guess it makes sense that a motorcycle evolved from bicycle beginnings.
The kids area that was a saving factor for the kids and me.
The cutest motorcycle gang I have seen.
A classic case of teasing that was captured.
On Sunday Ryan's actual birthday, we went over to a friends house for dinner and then came home and sang Happy Birthday.
It was a nice, casual trip that actually was very budget friendly. Just so you know, for anyone interested, the Jelly Belly Factory was entirely free. The gift shop at the end wasn't. But they do have their Belly Flops and other candies that didn't make the cut at discounted prices. The Harley-Davidson Museum is free for children 5 and under, the adult ticket is a typical museum price but when you take into account that the day had been free so far, it evened itself out. Oh and a stop at Culvers for some hamburgers was a nice end to a good day.

I wonder how much they pay the taste testers for all the crazy flavors at Jelly Belly. We'll definitely have to check both museums out, looks like good times!
