It's Five O'Clock Somewhere

More truer words couldn't have been spoken or in our case put on a sticker and placed on our next door neighbor's door. I have often pondered this phrase as I would trudge up the stairs returning from work. I always thought it meant that five o'clock was when work was over for a majority of people, but as I googled this image I realized that five o'clock must mean happy hour. This makes all the more sense now that I am a stay at home mom. I have realized that this phrase is the motto of our apartment complex. Between the chain smoking, the loud talking and the one song that our neighbor plays over and over,(I can't figure out if it is a Beastie Boys song or Everybody Dance Now) it is always a party. I wonder if anyone works or if it is five o'clock all the time. There is one gentleman that is in his forties that has created a monopoly with the pool area, his drunkenness and loud voice really scare the children, making pool time a scary time. We have the privilege of living across from him. Once Ryan heard him say to another full-time neighbor as he was going to the pool, "I'm gonna finish this beer and then I have another beer in my pocket."
I write about this not to complain but to remind all of you that it is five o'clock somewhere.

I think your neighbors' twins are our neighbors. I'm constantly wondering if anybody works and if anyone has heard that smoking will, in fact, kill you. We also have a bunch of old guys that hang out in their garages ALL day every day shining up their Harley's. They never ride them anywhere, except back and forth in the parking lot. Awesome.

I feel the same as you all... our neighbors have been like this too. I have a past time that makes me feel better. I call 911. Every time I smell pot (anywhere- even if it's in a parking lot. I am crime dog mcgruff!). Every time people are loud and it's past 10 o clock. Every time I hear a domestic disturbance. Then I like to listen (if I can) while whoever the perpetrator is get "busted." HILLARIOUS! It has ALWAYS made me feel better. I can't WAIT to get out of the apartment life!!!!!!!!!
