Celebrating The Birth of The Kate

We have moved on from theme parties to what is the color scheme for the party. I got a little taste of what lies in store for me when Kate plans her wedding.

We had a sleep under, where the girls came in their pajamas and stayed until 9:00. There was pizza, the trampoline, painting birdhouses, charades, karaoke, cake and presents. Oh, did I mention candy? There was candy and I learned that some girls can't handle their candy as well as others. I've decided that my kids will get a daily dose of sugar so when they go to other people's houses they aren't complete candy maniacs and bouncing off the walls like they've never tasted the stuff before. It is my public service to the world. It also could have been that it was Summer and they hadn't seen each other since school got out, but regardless, I want my kids to be able to handle their sugar in public.

Moving on, here is the set up that had been agonized over for months. Kate and I collaborated and I think it turned out good. Even though I kept having to tell Kate to just trust me, I've done parties before, I wouldn't let her down.

Kate's party favor table that she set up all on her own. She will make quite the hostess later.

Painting birdhouses.

Karaoke.

Cake time.

The crew with their finished products.

Oh, what would we do without Kate.
She is such a sweet girl with so much energy.
I have no doubt in my mind that she will go far.
We love her so much and we are so happy that she is in our family.
