...And we are back in business. I am dating these posts as they happened so that it is easy to find later.
We had heard about St Joseph's the last time we lived here so we thought we'd check it out. On our way there we stopped at Redamak's and had a late lunch because we forgot about the hour difference between Illinois and Michigan. Then we hurried to the beach when we realized we had lost an hour.
The clouds were stormy, but it never rained. It made for some pretty photos though.
Millie went swimming with Dad and as soon as she could get out of the water she laid down on the warm sand.
Who cares if you put your face in the sand?
Lately, whenever we go on excursions and I see something that I might want to read, I take a picture of it and read it later. It's kind of sad that it has come down to this and I kind of feel like an old lady doing it, but you gotta do what you gotta do.
Doing somersaults and cartwheels on a crowded, concrete pier sounds like a wonderful idea.
This is why I have to take pictures of signs.
It was a fun little day trip. I can't wait for summer again. Trips to Lake Michigan are the best.
Not pictured, trying to eat at a Chinese Restaurant for dinner, having tons of meltdowns in the restaurant, getting mad at the children for how they acted, told them we are going straight home, and then feeling bad on the drive and stopping for some ice cream. The life of a parent is exhausting and most of the time you feel like you are doing a horrible job at it.
At least pictures can tell a different story. :)
