This wasn't our first baptism that we have been to with the kids but our kids were sure acting like it was their first. Some days are good and some days are bad, and we were having an off day. To make matters worse, Sam decided he would provide the comic relief, when Hallie was done being baptized and they were closing the door to the font he said very loud and clear "That was weird." Everyone laughed but I was mortified. You can't take the Stephens anywhere. Anyway, Hallie is such a cute girl and was one of the most prepared 8 year olds I have seen. I was glad that we went.
And of course, we have no pictures to document the main reason that we went to Las Vegas.
We also visited our friends the Murie's, but no pictures there either.
We did get some hotel shots courtesy of Kate and a whole bunch of wax museum pics. See below.
The I-15 brings back so many good and not so good memories. My favorite stretch is the chunk from Barstow to Vegas. It's beautiful. I would love to explore all of the run down gas stations along the way and that vacant water park too.
There was a desert thunderstorm that was so pretty on the way home but pictures don't do it justice.
Nothing like a good road trip.
