Endless Summer

Because the last day of school for Kate was early and the beginning of school this year is late, this summer has been quite the endless summer. Which is cool, but Kate still hasn't started school.

Here is a sampling of our life this summer in August. I hate that I have been doing catch up posts but you get what you get...

We drove down to San Diego and checked out the Mormon Battalion site.

Our official picture saying we made it to San Diego. Sam made it too but all you can see is his hair and I can't explain why I'm not looking at the camera.

At the end you could pan for "gold" and keep two pieces. Kate, always being the overachiever, wouldn't stop until she found the biggest pieces. Why wasn't she a 49er? She would have made Mom and Dad some money.

Sam thought it was cool but not that cool.

Millie just going along with it all.

While we were there, we ran into some friends, the Williams' and the kids were so excited. Our kids are matched as far as age and gender, so it's nice when we get together.

The next weekend we hung out with Grandma Lori and Grandpa Doug and swam and roasted marshmallows.

Grandma and Grandpa Gray took us to a Dodger game to help celebrate their 36 year wedding anniversary. Going to Dodger stadium has been on my Dad's bucket list.

The face Millie would make every time the crowd cheered. Poor little girl, she doesn't understand why she has to go along with everything, but she is a really good sport.

And it has also been really hot and humid with no air conditioning, but there has been some great sunsets lately. So I guess that kind of makes up for it?

Stay tuned for back to school pics next week or maybe next month. When ever I get around to posting them...
