Kate was so excited to go camping and see the fireworks. The picture on the left is of her sitting eagerly. The picture on the right is at the outlets we stopped at on our way. I googled where the outlets were but somehow they managed to leave out that it was sandwiched between the state pen and some sort of nuclear plant straight out of the Simpsons. Regardless, the outlets themselves were nice but it was hot. Also, a great town for exploring when we have more time.
The drive most of the way.
We wanted to explore this dutch town called Holland but the heat and the napping children kinda made us over it.
Cool things to look at along side the road though.
Home Sweet Home
Watching the fireworks in the nearest town on top of the car and our kabin.
It never cooled down that night, which took the fun away from the fire.
I mean, who wants to sit in front a fire when you are sweating? But what's a campsite without a fire? So many questions.
We headed to Grand Haven in the morning and were really impressed with this cute beach town.
It reminded us of California a little bit.
Sam just loving the water.
Kate watching the teens jump off the jetty. You could see that she wanted to do it, but was too nervous.
Dad jumping in. He jumped in three times and all I got was his starting off stance each time. Dang camera.
A crowded beach. It was 100 degrees that day, with humidity on top of it making it that much hotter.
It was nice to get away with our little family and explore.
That's something we love doing and it's nice to have our crew come along with us.
I really enjoy seeing other people's view of America and that traditions are everywhere.
It's really cool to explore different parts of this country and I am grateful for KOAs and their kabins.
