Birthday

 Balloons in the morning.

 Kate got to open up one present in the morning.

And she got to open up her present from Grandpa Doug and Grandma Lori. 

In the package was a ladybug necklace, earrings and hair clips that Grandpa made her. 

If anyone knows Doug, clay figures are one thing that he is known for. I thought it was very tender and told her that it is something that she'll want to keep forever, so she needs to take good care of them. Hopefully she'll listen.

 My friend called the night before and asked if I could watch her children the next day. 

Her bind turned out to be a perfect way for Kate to kick off her birthday. She loves these girls.

 Even Sam had a buddy.

 Kate got a gift card from Grandpa Doug and Grandma Lori and picked out this Crayola Art box. 

She was so intense about it. When she got home, she set it up to look exactly like the picture on the box.

She ended the day swimming with mom at a church youth activity, followed by cupcakes and presents at home. 

It was a good day.
