Kicking off the day with Rice Krispie treats and the clothes they were wearing the day before.
Our Kabin. These are such a great invention by the wonderful people at KOA.

These kids are looking at a long life of tourist photo ops.
The front entrance of the house.

How the excursion ended for Kate. Running in flip flops is never a good thing and of course we didn't have any band-aids.
We drove around Moab and checked out some arches.
We also drove around Helper, Utah. Which was a real gem of a town. It was a coal mining town that just seemed to freeze in time. We still need to wikipedia it.
More shots of Helper, Utah.We were so excited to go see Hole n' the Rock, it was on my list of things to do in Utah. It's a very interesting and oddly enough inspiring place. There used to be a restaurant that the husband and wife built and worked at together. The husband died at 53 from a heart attack and his wife converted the restaurant (which would have been cool to see) into a gift shop. You couldn't take pictures of the inside but it was awesome, it was like a crazy time capsule of what they were into. It was kind of cool to get a glimpse of their life. It was a four hour drive there and back but it was totally worth it. Not only to see Hole n' the Rock but to drive through all of the other towns along the way. I wanted to check out East Carbon, where Ryan's grandma grew up but the kids were starting to get maxed out. This is a trip I would definitely do again.
