On Our Way

Our last dinner at our house. The calm before the storm.

We went downtown the next day for one last time in the city and one last time for a ride on the Metra. Not recommended with this many bags.

The first thing Kate did when we got in the Hotel room was hop in bed.

The first thing Sam did was inspect all of the drawers.

We went to dinner that night with Jimmy, Ryan's partner at work.
We passed this sign that they did and I made them take a picture in front of it. I am a true mom.

The next morning our mission was to see the Picasso statue and the bean and discover things along the way. It was really cold and rainy, a bad sight seeing day, but we were determined.

The monkey statue.

We saw another one of their signs and another photo op. Listen, it was nice to see what all of my husbandless nights were for, well one example anyway. I had to document.

The Bean

It started pouring rain, so luckily, we were by the Art Institute Museum. Inside, I was happy to find the Suerat painting that was on Ferris Bueller's Day Off. The bummer was, my camera was still foggy from going from freezing to warm temperatures.

It was a good idea to do one last tour of the city. Especially now after all of the craziness of getting settled.
I miss Illinois, but it is nice to see Ryan again.

Laura! I'm so glad you found my blog! We have really really missed Kate in sunbeams!! I truly mean that! I was so shocked to hear her say that you guys were leaving! it was so sudden...I don't even think I got to say goodbye to you! But Missy told me the move was a good thing for you guys and that it would be better work hours for your husband, so thats good :)
Thats so funny that Kate taught you how to play spin the water! I don't know why the sunbeams love it so much, but they ask to play it every single week! its hilarious! :)
Tell Kate hello from Brother and Sister Brimhall! :) Hope your move went well! Keep in touch :)
