Back in February of this year, Ryan surprised me with Dixie Chicks concert tickets for our anniversary. These tickets were purchased before we found out I was pregnant and were for August 30th and my due date was September 27th. Knowing that I had gone early with my last two kids, I thought I would either be delivering the baby around the time of the concert or going to the concert very pregnant. Either way, we would just cross that bridge when it came. Well, Ben came a whole 12 days earlier than the concert, so we went to the concert and then did a little late night visit to the NICU afterwards. Totally not one of the ways I thought it would go down, but life isn't always how you plan it.
The concert was awesome. I think I got chills every time a new song would start and Ryan was just as stoked to be there as me. Maybe even more. It was a great way to celebrate 14 years, with my buddy, rocking out together at a concert. It's one of my favorite things to do with him and I remembered how we need to do this more.
