Some August Photos

Grandma Lori came to visit at the beginning of August. Kate loved having her here.

I told them to smile and I got arms folded. The funny thing about these two is that they love each other so hard and they bug each other so hard. I'm wondering if that's just how cousins are.

Kate found her zone this summer, she can spend a good half an hour transferring dirt from one area to another. I have learned that it works inside as well, if I need an object moved from one area to another like laundry, I've got an eager helper.

Kate watching Ariel (most likely). She has really been into all the Disney movies even though she says half of them are scary.

Kate and her pirate hook. She has taken an interest in pirates ever since her cousin Wes had a pirate party in June. She loved it so much that when people would ask her what she did for her birthday party she would tell them she had a pirate party. Which unfortunately wasn't true and then I would have to explain.
The other day she had a toilet paper roll on her hand (I know, awesome mom) and I thought that could make a great hook. She liked it for a minute and then started nibbling at the tin foil.

Summer was fun/interesting, Kate is just growing up and fall is around the corner, life sometimes isn't what we expect it to be but it is still good.
