So What Have the Stephens Been Up To?

Besides spending our time holding that 5 lbs, 9 oz of sweetness that is Noah we did manage to take a little vacation at the end of May. Both Grandparents watched Kate and we went to LA. It was our first time leaving her over night. It was hard at first and then we remembered what it was like to sleep in. We aren't very good at documenting things unless Kate's around. But here is what we have.

Laura in front of some mural in the Hammer museum.

Another piece of the mural. Ryan really liked it.

An advertisement for the art exhibit that we went to see at the Hammer. And don't worry that lady is stealing the other women's baby. I would suggest if you go, don't make it a family home evening activity.

We went to the Grove in hopes of spotting a celebrity and all we found was that it is a great people watching place. Oh, and Ryan loved this book store...

...and couldn't wait to take a picture in front of the American Girl Place.

This was probably the best picture of the day, the Beverly Hills sign through our car window. I was really excited to take this picture, we had a good laugh. I promise our car is not that dirty, some of it is the flash bouncing off the window.

Laura... I'm SO sorry I never called you back when you called. I got your message way after the fact and then completely forgot to ring you up. Since Nora came along, it seems I have no brain. Anyway, I wasn't trying to ignore you and I do want to hang out.

In other news... I was so excited to see that there is a Kara Walker exhibit! I love her stuff-- although it can be kind of scandalous at times. Maybe we should all go together to check it out.
