Our Christmas

We had a great Christmas this year. Christmas Eve started off by doing the family progressive dinner. We went to Brad's for the appetizers, Dana & Tiffany's for the soup, Kelly & Brad's for salad, Scott & Ann's for the main course and my parent's house for dessert. There are two traditions in my family that have been done for as long as I can remember: the nativity scene and my dad playing his accordion. I don't think that it is Christmas without these two things. This year Kate was baby Jesus, Kate's cousin Ethan came along as well and was a wiseman. Kate's breakout role as baby Jesus wasn't as smooth as we thought. (See below) But it was fun to have her be apart of this tradition. Christmas morning was so much fun, I loved watching Kate react to each of her presents and she was definitely spoiled by both sets of grandparents. The Stephens' came over for breakfast and the rest of the day was spent sleeping (Ryan & Kate) and doing puzzles. (Laura)

Kate's second attempt with Jake as Joseph looking on.

And finally, a second baby Jesus was added as the first baby Jesus sat beside the manger with mom.

My dad playing the accordion, my favorite!

I need to remember to take more pictures of everyone on Christmas eve and less on Christmas morning, I'm not sure anyone wants to see what we all look like first thing in the morning.
